Gavin’s record as Mayor of Annapolis reflects the leadership, determination, and vision needed to effectively represent District 6 on the Anne Arundel County Council. His work advancing the City Dock project is a prime example. He created numerous opportunities for public input, built broad community support, and persevered despite opposition. Today, the project is funded and underway, transforming a frequently flooded parking lot into a space worthy of one of the nation’s most historic and special cities.

Gavin is what we need on the County Council for District 6.

We need someone who will fight for our environment, our green spaces, and our waterways. Throughout my career, I have observed and worked with many public officials, but Gavin Buckley truly stands out.

As Mayor, he successfully guided Annapolis through the pandemic and demonstrated foresight in addressing climate change by protecting the city’s docks and businesses from rising water levels. Furthermore, under Gavin’s leadership, the Annapolis Police Department established a re-entry program for formerly incarcerated individuals—an initiative that has reduced recidivism and helped bridge the divide between law enforcement and the community.

It is with great pride that I endorse Gavin Buckley for the Anne Arundel County Council, District 6.
